SAFETY SPECIALIST (11068)

Location: Houston, TX

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Safety/Environmental field or related discipline

Experience:

Must have at least 10 years experience in the offshore oil & gas industry – deepwater experience is preferred.


Qualifications:

Advanced computer skills, knowledge in offshore firefighting and lifesaving requirements, NORM, behavior based safety, root cause analysis, workers comp understanding, OSHA case management. Medical background a plus.


Description:

This position is responsible for providing health, safety and training expertise for the support of offshore (GOM) operations to ensure compliance with MMS, USCG, and ABS requirements and Company policies, programs and procedures.  This position must champion injury and incident free operations, conduct incident investigations and compile findings, provide safety support for high risk operations, conduct training events, support contractor safety management, obtain USCG licenses for field personnel, and conduct HSE audits.



Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis.
