Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I)
The rich experiences and backgrounds of our employees strengthen our company, boost productivity and drive our success. We take a multifaceted approach to promoting workforce DE&I.
As part of our commitment to promote workforce DE&I, we track age, gender and race/ethnicity for all full-time employees. In compiling the data, we categorize employees according to the US Department of Labor’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) definitions. For transparency, we have started to share our annual EEO-1 diversity data in our sustainability report.
Murphy provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of all employees and to drive employee wellness and preparedness for their future.
We offer our employees a variety of professional development opportunities, including job-related training, sponsorship of employee participation in industry organizations, and contributions toward tuition at accredited colleges, universities and trade schools.
We employ hundreds of employees around the world, and we prioritize hiring locally to contribute to the communities in which we operate. In fact, the majority of our workforce outside the US is employed from local host countries. When immediate talent is not available, we ensure proper training is offered so that we may work toward nationalizing positions.
